Chris Guest has been appointed Managing Director of LS Plant Breeding Ltd (LSPB) from 1st June to succeed Theo Labuda, who will assume a consultancy role on his retirement from full-time involvement.
“I am delighted that Chris is joining us to lead the LSPB team and am sure that his extensive knowledge and experience of the merchant and end user side of the Agricultural supply chain will be of great benefit to the further development of our portfolio,” says Mr Labuda.
Chris Guest studied Rural Land Management at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester, before joining Gleadell Agriculture, now ADM Agriculture, in 2008 managing the company’s seed operations as Head of Seed.
He has previously sat on AHDB Recommended List committees and is the current Chairman of the AIC Seed Sector committee and an AIC Board member.
Chris comments, “I am thrilled to be joining the LSPB team as we continue to develop the portfolio across a range of species, and look forward to offering continued new genetics to UK farmers as we enter the next phase of UK agriculture.
“We are proud of the wide range of varieties we offer as the UK subsidiary of NPZ-Lembke, a privately-owned, plant breeding company with a long track record of bringing successful varieties to UK growers.”
