Katie Noel has been appointed wheat breeder at LS Plant Breeding Ltd (LSPB). She succeeds Peter Jackson who is returning to an academic role at the University of Reading.

Katie Noel studied Plant Science at the University of Nottingham, before carrying out a PhD at the University of Hertfordshire on the characterisation of temperature-sensitivity of oilseed rape (Brassica napus) resistance against phoma stem canker (Leptosphaeria maculans).
 
Peter Jackson is leaving LSPB to return to University of Reading into a Postdoctoral Scientist role on the project Raising the Pulse.
