NPZ UK Plant Breeding Ltd is now seeking a Managing Director to lead the UK team and drive its continued growth and development.
The Role
The role of the Managing Director will be to drive the company’s success as a leading plant breeder in the UK marketplace. The primary responsibility is to deliver company performance against strategic goals set in conjunction with the board and shareholders, to maintain and grow sales, profitability and to drive market share for the product portfolio, alongside the management of the practical plant breeding work carried out across a broad range of species.
The Managing Director will lead key stakeholder relationships, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and represent the company in industry associations and public forums.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a strong background in strategic planning, business management, and financial oversight. A degree in Agriculture, Business, Economics, or a related field is advantageous, as is knowledge of agriculture or plant breeding. They will have a balance of technical expertise and commercial acumen, strong numeracy skills, and a results-oriented mindset. Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will also be a strong team leader and possess excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
