The 2024 PGRO Descriptive Lists for field beans show that NPZ UK varieties continue to offer pulse growers a wide choice to meet their yield, agronomy and marketing priorities.
Genius is the highest yielding spring bean on the PGRO DL closely followed by consistently high yielding Lynx plus Vertigo and Yukon. Futura and Victus are high yielding LVC (low vicine/convicine) varieties.
For the future, we have promising Candidates in the pipeline – including new winter beans as well as spring beans to do our part in developing the future UK pulse crop.
